Great atmosphere, the Café Amour is fantastic!

I went there Wednesday morning for breakfast and I wasn't disappointed. It was very good, the dishes were beautifully presented, and the atmosphere was very cozy. I don't know the name of the woman who served us, but she was lovely from start to finish (smiling, quick, and even offered to take a picture of my friend and me). It made me really want to come back, but this time on the weekend to try their brunch 🌞

The portions are really tiny, more like snack food. Not cheap, especially for a product that's not well-prepared. No sandwiches served on weekends and a €30 brunch...

Charming decor and a very good brunch. However, the service left much to be desired. The owner was neither particularly accommodating nor welcoming, even giving the impression that the presence of customers was more of a burden than a pleasure. This is a shame, as it contrasts sharply with the quality of the place and the food.

Greeted by smiling young people, food and drink lived up to the descriptions. A must-try!

A great little coffee shop in Caen, very cute and perfect for grabbing coffee with friends. The drinks menu is fantastic, with a good selection of seasonal beverages. The sweet treats are also delicious, perfect to enjoy with your coffee.

A very bad experience at Café Amour in Caen. Despite my explanations about my diabetic daughter's medical condition—she had just had a hyperglycemic episode and had a cookie to manage it—and despite my clearly stating that we wished to eat in, I was made to understand that we couldn't stay under those circumstances. I fully understand the rules regarding outside products, which is normal in an establishment, but given the health situation, I would have hoped for more understanding and consideration. It's all the more disappointing because I appreciated their breakfast and lunch offerings. A disappointing experience. Avoid at all costs!

We came for an afternoon snack with my two children, aged 2 and 4. One of them only had an ice cream, as I had checked beforehand that you didn't offer any. The young woman informed us that outside food was prohibited. I understand that there are rules, but I must admit I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility in this situation. It was simply a child who wanted an ice cream while enjoying the nice weather, even though we had planned to buy food and drinks at your establishment. So, it's a shame for you: we left, which represents a loss of revenue that day for a simple ice cream bought nearby for a young child… and for future snacks in the coming months!

This morning, while having my usual coffee, I witnessed a scene that left me speechless. A nanny, having coffee with friends, gave a small cream puff to each of the toddlers in strollers she was looking after (all under two years old). The waitress, looking decidedly unfriendly, refused, claiming she was selling breakfast deals. I find this appalling. It's simply not normal behavior. I won't be back, and I wouldn't advise anyone to bring children here.

Shameful! Refusing to let children in strollers eat their chouquettes under the pretext that you serve lunch, knowing that we adults are eating on the terrace. The waitress's mentality is truly shameful!
