I could have said everything was perfect, but that wouldn't have helped future customers, and especially not the management, depriving them of material for reflection and improvement. Let's start with the positives: ideally located on the seafront, you can practically eat on the beach. The prices are unbeatable in this highly touristic area: mussels and fries for €12.50 (good, but nothing special). Then comes the negative: We arrived at 12:30 pm at our reserved table, our order was taken at 12:50 pm, and our main course wasn't served until 1:30 pm. You don't need to have gone to culinary school to serve at Gano, just common sense and perhaps a little training and organization: for mussels, you provide a spoon and a finger bowl, and if there are three place settings and three dishes, you try to serve them all at the same time. Another point for improvement is the restrooms: old-fashioned and squat toilets with a guaranteed foot bath. The staff are friendly and well-intentioned, but not professional, which probably explains why they served a portion of fries to the wrong table.

I ordered a savory crêpe (a classic French crêpe) and a sweet caramel crêpe. At first, I thought it was a mistake, but no, this restaurant uses the same batter for both types. If you like eating your egg/ham/Gruyère cheese in a sweet crêpe, then this is the place for you...because they use a "neutral batter." However, if you like good crêpes, look elsewhere; there are plenty of excellent places in the area. Quite surprising, I'd never seen anything like it...Even less so here in Normandy! ^^' The two stars are for the service, which was impeccable, though. :)

Excellent restaurant! The food is delicious, very well prepared, and the portions are generous. The menu offers a good selection of dishes, and everything we tried was excellent. The seaside setting is very pleasant and makes the experience even more enjoyable. The service is impeccable: the team is welcoming, smiling, and very attentive. A place where everything comes together for a wonderful time. We will gladly return and recommend it without hesitation!

Simple, nice little beach bar with very friendly service. Lovely view over the beach and near Ouistreham and Lion-sur-Mer.

The owner is extremely unpleasant; she takes out the trash and then comes to serve you right after. Avoid at all costs.

Only visited for a cold drink & ice cream as the 34 degree temperature demanded some refreshment! We had an 1.5 hrs before our Brittany Ferry departure and this cafe was the first one along the beach front that has free roadside parking, driving west from the ferry port👍☺️. Very friendly service and a great position next to the beach, it's certainly worth visiting on a warm sunny day 🌞😎.

We came as a group of five and we all gave it 5 stars. Excellent service despite the full tables. Generous portions for the price, and the quality of the food was outstanding... In short, perfect! 100% approved, sea view, a place to remember! 😄😄😄

Never disappointed, always a great welcome, simple and very good, quality products. Portion sizes more than adequate for the prices. Nice setting right on the water.
