Aux Délices de Riva

12/04/26 My mom bought this to treat me, because I'd seen giant coffee and chocolate éclairs, coffee/chocolate religieuses, and even a giant salambo (a "gland" for those in the know) in the shop window. Well, frankly, I was extremely disappointed. It had absolutely no taste. The choux pastry was dry, and the vanilla cream had no flavor at all. You wouldn't know what you're eating with your eyes closed. €24 for a "placebo"! Very disappointed 🤬

Hello. I bought two croissants, two pain au chocolat, one loaf of bread, one baguette, and one Norman tart. The two waitresses were pleasant and kind to me. Sincerely and cordially, Mr. Jimmy Guerville and his wife, Mrs. Delphine Guerville.

As an occasional customer, since I don't live in Ouistreham, I was saddened to learn of the closure of this bakery that I adored; the kindness of the young saleswomen and the owner, her touching personal story, and of course, the quality of the breads, pastries, and cakes. I hope the whole team is well and that I'll have the chance to see those charming saleswomen again! Philippe

I've tried all the bakeries in this part of Ouistreham. This one is the best in my opinion. The bread is good at another bakery, but the atmosphere is cold and smiles are rare. Elsewhere, the staff is friendlier, but the bread isn't great. Here, you get both: excellent bread and a friendly team. The owner recognized me after three or four visits and already knows my routine, which is nice because it makes you feel valued. I had lemon meringue tarts once, and they were delicious!

Excellent bread and pastries. However, the saleswoman was a bit too scantily clad for my taste, and her makeup prevented her from smiling. The second one wasn't any more smiley. It's a shame.

Disappointed, first and last time... The baguettes were like half-baguettes, and the pastries (Pépito) were tiny, overcooked, and tasteless. But of course, we paid the same price. And to top it all off, we ordered a religieuse pastry at the café, and when we opened the package, we were pleasantly surprised to find a chocolate religieuse... when you don't like chocolate, it's complicated! What a shame...

Good bakery and helpful staff.

Very disappointed with our Too Good To Go purchase tonight. Two very stale baguettes and three cakes for €3.99, supposedly worth €13 😡😞🥺🤔. Very disappointed.
